A Norwalk man accused of tampering with evidence after a suspected heroin offense is subject to random drug screens while out on bond.

Daniel M. Legg, 23, of 20 Mill St., is charged with one count each of possession of heroin and tampering with evidence in connection with a March 11 incident. His Huron County Common Pleas Court trial date is April 14.

Legg, who appeared in court Wednesday on a summons, doesn't have a prior felony conviction. However, he is on unsupervised probation through Norwalk Municipal Court.

"I wasn't at the time of the offense," Legg told Judge Jim Conway.
