Norwalk Reflector Staff • Jan 27, 2014 at 12:16 PM

The American Red Cross of Northeast Ohio is opening several area chapters as warming centers due to the brutal cold weather.

Warming Centers will be open during business hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, providing the opportunity for community members to come in out of the cold. No meal service will be provided.

Among the locations that will be open is the Firelands Chapter at 300 Central Ave., Sandusky.

In Norwalk, the Salvation Army, at 55 Whittlesey Ave., will open its doors to serve as a “warming center” beginning at 3 p.m. today (Monday). For more information, call Lt Denise Martin at (330) 347-5837.
