Motorists in some areas of Huron County are going to have to find new routes, beginning Monday.
Ohio 601, one-tenth-mile south of US Route 20, will close Monday for a culvert replacement project. The detour route for southbound motorists is 601 to U.S. 20, west on 20 to Ohio 18, east on 18 to 601, and reverse for northbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen on November 18; however, all work is weather dependent.
Also Monday, Ohio 547, between Baker and Labeau streets in the Village of Monroeville, will close for railroad crossing repairs. The detour route for eastbound motorists is 547 to Ohio 99, north on 99 to U.S. 20, east on 20 to 547, and reverse for westbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen on November 8; however, all work is weather dependent.
