A woman charged with possessing heroin goes to trial Jan. 30 in Huron County Common Pleas Court.

Brittney N. Resor, 22, of 56 Simpson Ave., faces a fifth-degree felony in connection with an Aug. 17 incident. If convicted, she faces six to 12 months behind bars, but since she doesn't have a prior felony conviction, she can't be sentenced to prison.

"There are two co-defendants," Huron County Assistant Prosecutor Richard Woodruff told Judge Jim Conway.

"There's one that's not here yet," added Woodruff, who alluded to a suspect who hasn't been indicted yet.

Resor, who earlier posted a $5,000 bond, is subject to random drug screens.
