A man was arrested Thursday after a package of marijuana was delivered to a Fairfield residence.
The Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics unit along with Fairfield police and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service conducted a controlled delivery of a package containing three pounds of marijuana to a residence in the 5300 block of Boehm Drive. The package as shipped from California.
After the package was delivered and accepted by Robert Lee, the man it was mailed to, police searched the residence and recovered the package.
Lee, 33, was charge with possession of drugs, a third-degree felony. Lee said he lived in West Virginia and was only in the Fairfield area visiting for a couple days, according to agents.
The permanent resident of the home said he has a son who lives in California, but he was unaware of what had occurred.
Lee is housed in the Butler County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond.
