A Bellevue drug defendant could have a conviction withheld from his criminal record if he successfully completes a local court's substance abuse program.

Troy A. Snezek, 26, of 975 Monroe St., Apt. 123, was granted intervention in lieu of conviction Wednesday in Huron County Common Pleas Court. He was placed on three years of probation.

Snezek, who is subject to random drug screens, is charged with one count of trafficking in oxycodone.

The suspect was one of 18 people arrested on secret indictments during a three-county sweep in mid-April coordinated by the Huron County Sheriff's Office. Local deputies plus those from Erie, Richland and Sandusky counties and members of seven police departments assisted in the arrests during "Operation: Crystal Clear."
