A Norwalk man was flown by medical helicopter to a Cleveland hospital after a serious-injury crash early Sunday on Townline Road 151.

Robert Stuckert, 43, was driving a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix westbound on Townline Road 151 at about 12:57 a.m. near the Bronson-Norwalk conservation club, troopers from the Norwalk post of the state Highway Patrol said.

Stuckert lost control of the vehicle and swerved to his left, striking the Bronson-Norwalk Conservation League sign before striking a tree head-on.

Stuckert was transported from the scene to Fisher-Titus Medical Center and was later transported to Cleveland MetroHealth Medical Center by LifeFlight.

Stuckert was not wearing a safety belt at the time of the crash, troopers said. His vehicle was towed from the scene by Dendinger's Towing.

Stuckert's condition could not be released Sunday, according to a Cleveland MetroHealth spokesperson.

Also assisting at the scene were North Central EMS and the Norwalk Fire Department.

Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash, troopers said.
