The New London man who was cited after his pit bull attacked an elderly resident downtown is taking his case to trial.
Instead of paying the $85 dog-at-large ticket, a minor misdemeanor, Aaron Hyde, 34, is scheduled to appear for a court trial in Norwalk Municipal Court on Tuesday, according to court records.
He pleaded not guilty to the criminal charge at an arraignment hearing on July 29.
“I don’t believe it was my dog. That’s why I’m taking it to court,” Hyde said during an interview Sunday.
