Norwalk Reflector Staff • Jun 27, 2013 at 10:44 AM

The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a flood watch for portions of Ohio and Northwest Pennsylvania, including Huron County, from 10 p.m. today (Wednesday) until Thursday afternoon.

Slow moving thunderstorms with heavy rain may cause localized flooding in the area late tonight into Thursday.

Heavy rainfall from Tuesday’s thunderstorms has saturated the soil in many areas. Since the soil will not hold much more water. Additional heavy rainfall from slow moving thunderstorms could cause flooding within a short amount of time. Persistent thunderstorms over urban areas could also cause flooding, potentially flash flooding.
