A Clyde man will be sentenced July 9 for selling oxycodone.
Raymond L. Layne, 40, pleaded guilty Tuesday to one count of trafficking in oxycodone. As part of a plea deal, prosecutors agreed to dismiss one count of trafficking in hydrocodone.
Layne was one of several suspects arrested on drug-related charges in mid-March when the Bellevue Police Department and other area authorities served indictments from grand juries in Huron and Sandusky counties. Agents with U.S. Customs and Border Patrol provided a police dog and officer during the sweep.
"These arrests (were) the result of a six-month operation that netted over 50 drug trafficking cases," Capt. Matt Johnson said at the time.
Layne earlier posted 10 percent of a $5,000 bond. He faces six to 18 months behind bars.
