Greenwich Windpark, LLC will hold an informational meeting from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at South Central High School, 3305 Greenwich Angling Road, to inform the public of its plans to develop a wind farm in Huron County.

Greenwich Windpark has proposed to construct about 25 wind turbines to produce up to 60 megawatts of electricity. The proposed project encompasses 4,600 acres of leased land in Greenwich Township and will also include associated infrastructure such as access roads, an electrical collection line system, and operations and maintenance facilities.

The Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) requires project developers such as Greenwich Windpark, LLC to hold a public informational meeting before submitting an application.

This meeting is intended to provide area residents with the opportunity to review a map of the proposed project and discuss the project with company representatives. Representatives from the OPSB also will be available to answer questions about the OPSB certificate process and explain how members of the public can participate.

Additional information regarding this project is available on the OPSB website at www.OPSB.ohio.gov.
