TNS Regional News • May 11, 2013 at 4:07 PM

A Delaware County man was indicted today in connection with an assault that led to the death of his father-in-law.

Feral Junior O’Quin, 46, was charged with involuntary manslaughter and felonious assault in the death of Rickey Votaw, 65, of Ashley.

Votaw died on Jan. 14, five days after authorities say he and O’Quin argued while Votaw was picking up his granddaughter at O’Quin’s home on Penn Road near Ostrander.

O’Quin is charged with pushing down his father-in-law and kicking him, according to Prosecutor Carol O’Brien.

The coroner ruled that Votaw died from blunt-force impact to the head.

Involuntary manslaughter is a first-degree felony carrying 3 to 11 years in prison. Felonious assault is a second-degree felony punishable by 2 to 8 years in prison.
