UPDATED - Amber Alert cancelled; bodies of two teens found

TNS Regional News • May 9, 2013 at 10:37 PM

One of three teens sought in a statewide Amber Alert issued earlier today out of northwest Ohio was found in Columbus this afternoon, along with the car the three were believed to be riding in.

Putnam County deputies confirm that the missing Chevrolet HHR and Michael A. Fey, 17, are both in police custody in Columbus.

City police said the car was found at a gas station near West Broad Street and Hague Avenue. Fey was taken into custody as he returned to the car after asking for directions to Belle Street.

Putnam County Sheriff’s officials told reporters this evening that Fey alerted authorities as to where they could find the bodies of the other two juveniles, Blake A. Romes, 17, and Blaine Romes, 14. Autopsies are planned to determine the causes of death.

The teens were last seen at 1570 N. Perry St. in Ottawa just after midnight. The Amber Alert was issued just before noon today, several hours after a woman returned to her Ottawa home and found what appeared to be a crime scene. The alert was canceled this afternoon.
