Hazardous weather outlook for Huron County

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Huron County.

Today’s rainfall and warm temperatures support a heightened risk of ice jams. Strong winds are possible again tonight.

Here is the seven-day forecast:

Today —  Scattered showers. Cloudy, with a high near 58. Breezy, with a southwest wind 16 to 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Tonight —  A chance of rain showers before midnight, then a chance of rain and snow showers between midnight and 1 a.m., then a chance of snow showers after 1am. Cloudy, with a low around 24. Windy, with a west wind 23 to 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Thursday —  A chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a high near 26. Breezy, with a west wind 20 to 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Thursday night —  A chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a low around 13. Wind chill values as low as -2. West wind around 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Friday —  A chance of snow showers before 1 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 20. West wind 15 to 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Friday night —  Mostly cloudy, with a low around 13.

Saturday —  A chance of snow. Cloudy, with a high near 26. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Saturday night —  A chance of snow. Cloudy, with a low around 24. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Sunday —  Mostly cloudy, with a high near 31. Breezy.

Sunday night —  Mostly cloudy, with a low around 20.

Monday —  A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 38. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Monday night — A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Tuesday — Mostly cloudy, with a high near 28.
