A Huron County grand jury has indicted four people connected to a Norwalk "heroin house" raided by police last month.
Cory B. Smith, 24, of 40 Corwin St., was arrested at 14 E. Harkness St. in early December after police used a search warrant there.
"It's a heroin house," Detective Sgt. Jim Fulton said about the Harkness Street residence.
Police said officers had received information about people selling and using heroin by the residents there. Authorities obtained a warrant from Norwalk Municipal Court Judge John Ridge and used it during the raid.
"(Smith was at the premises when they did the search," Norwalk Law Director Stuart O'Hara said.
On Friday, Smith was indicted on three counts of burglary, three counts of theft, one count of theft of a firearm and one count of safecracking.
Norwalk Police Detective Sgt. Jim Fulton said Smith and the other people who were staying there -- Devin S. Espinoza, 26; Roger L. Mock, 31; Mariha S. Estadt, 27; and her boyfriend, Robert W. Stewart, 32 -- are "all known heroin addicts."
The detective said the suspects have been traveling to Cleveland to buy heroin.
On Friday, Espinoza was indicted on one count of possession of heroin and one count of tampering with evidence.
Robert W. Stewart was indicted on one count of permitting drug abuse.
And a third person listing his address as 14 E. Harkness St., 30-year-old Roy A. Stewart III, was indicted on two counts of trafficking in heroin.
On Friday, grand jurors also indicted:
n Robert E. Davis, 25, of 49 Jefferson St., on one count of receiving stolen property.
n Jaquelyn D. Faulkner, 23, of 507 Quail Creek Drive, Willard, on one count of trafficking in marijuana with a vehicle specification.
n Erica L. Trushel, 42, of 23 Westwood Drive, New London, on one count of complicity to burglary.
n Kevin J. Loyer, 36, of 4530 Gibbs Road, on one count of possession of heroin and one count of burglary.
n Zachary J. Mesenburg, 21, of 95 Woodlawn Ave., on two counts of trafficking in suboxone.
n Eugene A. Stallard, 32, of 2190 E. U.S. 20, Monroeville, on one count of aggravated robbery.
n Mollie R. Warner, 20, of 27 Woodlawn Ave., on one count of identity theft.
