A pit bull dog is recovering after it was shot during a Willard drug raid last month.
Eight Willard police officers and a part-time Greenwich police officer responded to 631 Pleasant St., Willard, to use a drug-related search warrant. The incident happened just before 2 p.m. Dec. 19.
The dog that was shot remains at an area veterinarian clinic, having had its rear left leg amputated. Another pit bull fled the scene and was still on the run as of Thursday.
A story about the dogs and drug investigation was published in Friday's Reflector.
