Following about eight months of negotiations, the Edison Local Schools administration and the teachers union have agreed on a new two-year contract.

The agreement covers 98 teachers, who have "agreed to concessions that will help the district during their financial struggles," according to a statement released by Superintendent Tom Roth. "The two-year deal will help the financially-strapped district save $339,505 over the course of the agreement."

A story with details about the new contract and comments from both sides was published in the Reflector.
