Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers stopped with a 2008 Silver Mazda, with Florida registration, that was stuck in the median on Interstate 75, near milepost 112, in Auglaize County at 11:30 p.m. Thursday.
Upon speaking with the driver, troopers noticed two marijuana plants in plain view on the rear seat of the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed the marijuana plants weighing about 460 grams and drug paraphernalia.
In addition, troopers discovered a small bag of marijuana on the suspect’s person.
A man from Miami Shores, Fla., was incarcerated in the Auglaize County Jail and charged with possession of marijuana, fifth-degree felony. If convicted, he could face up to 12 months in prison and up to a $2,500 fine.
