Health inspection reports for Huron County eateries are released

The following Huron County food establishments received no violations during October 2012 inspections by the health department:

Burger King; 711 W. Main St., Bellevue; operator, Carrols LLC (Oct. 3, regular inspection) -- No violations. Inspector's comments: Facility is in good working order!

Burger King; 283 Benedict Ave., Norwalk; operator, Melmont II Enterprises (Oct. 3, regular inspection) -- No violations.

Twilight Gardens Healthcare Group, Inc.; 196 W. Main St., Norwalk; operator, Twilight Gardens Healthcare Group, Inc. (Oct. 3, regular inspection) -- No violations. Inspector's comments: Great job. Facility is under new management and significantly improved.

Friendship Food Store; 64 East Main St., Wakeman; operator, Beck Suppliers, Inc. (Oct. 5, other) -- No violations. Inspector's comments: Person in charge called and left a message that cooler was repaired and is working properly and temperatures were below 41 degrees F.

Smith's Country Counter of Norwalk, Inc.; 3675 Lehigh Road, Norwalk; operator, Smith's Country Counter of Norwalk, Inc. (Oct. 5, follow-up inspection) -- No violations. Inspector's comments: All cold holding time/temperature controlled for safety (TCS) foods were being maintained at 41 degrees F and below.

Kenilee Lanes; 14-16 E. Seminary St., Norwalk; operator, Kenilee Lanes (Oct. 9, regular inspection) -- No violations. Inspector's comments: Facility is clean and in good working condition.

The Bellevue Hospital; 1400 W. Main St., Bellevue; operator, The Bellevue Hospital (Oct. 10, regular inspection) -- No violations. Inspector's comments: Facility is in good working order!

Uncle Dudley's Catering; 101 Myrtle Ave., Rear, Willard; operator, Tom Leis (Oct. 10, regular inspection) -- No violations.

Mike's Gyro Hut; 48 A Benedict Ave., Norwalk; operator, Mike Cantu (Oct. 11, regular inspection) -- Inspector's comments: Facility is out of business.

C Stop, Inc.; 2761 U.S. 20, East, Collins; operator, C Stop, Inc. (Oct. 12, regular inspection) -- No violations. Inspector's comments: Facility is clean and in good working condition.

Jo & Ed's Carry Out; 155 Whittlesey Ave., Norwalk; operator, Jo & Ed's Carry Out, Inc. (Oct. 15, regular inspection) -- No violations.

Dollar Tree; 101 Plank Road Unit 3, Norwalk; operator, Dollar Tree Stores, Inc., (Oct. 17, regular inspection) -- No violations. Inspector's comments: Facility is clean and in good working condition.

Care Works, Inc.; 18 Old State Road, Norwalk; operator, Kenneth Munns (Oct. 29, regular inspection) -- No violations.

Green Witch Suds & Sundaes; 13 E. Main St., Greenwich; operator, Michael and Darlene Meehan (Oct. 29, regular inspection) -- No violations. Inspector's comments: Facility is clean to sight and touch.

Sheri's Coffee House; 27 Whittlesey Ave., Norwalk; operator, Sheri's Coffee House (Oct. 29, regular inspection) -- No violations. Inspector's comments: Facility is very clean and in good working condition.

Subway; 355 Milan Ave., Norwalk; operator, Subway Sandwiches & Salads (Oct. 29, regular inspection) -- No violations.

Missler's IGA; 121 Blossom Center Blvd., Willard; operator, J. Missler's Inc. (Oct. 30, follow-up inspection) -- Inspector's comments: Cold holding temperatures are now at 41 degrees F and below. Recommend taking temperatures and keeping temperature logs of food items in these cases. No further follow-up inspections.
