A Norwalk teen accused of stealing and using an acquaintance's credit card pleaded innocent Monday in Huron County Common Pleas Court.

Kenneth L. Ansel II, 18, of 16 E. Quail Hollow Drive, is charged with receiving stolen property, which is punishable by six to 12 months behind bars. The suspected Oct. 20 incident involved a debit card which had been stolen from a woman's purse. A prosecutor has said Ansell is an acquaintance of the victim, whom Ansell is prohibited from contacting.

"He made admissions to using the card at several (businesses) in Norwalk," Norwalk Assistant Law Director Scott Christophel said in October.

Ansel earlier posted 10 percent of a $5,000 bond. His trial is set for Feb. 21.
