81-year-old woman's house heavily damaged by truck

A single-vehicle crash in which a truck entered a home is under investigation by authorities.

The Sandusky post of the state Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, which resulted in heavy damage to a home near Williston.

At about 11:55 a.m. Monday, John Branski, 59, of Greensprings, was operating a 2009 Ford F-650 dump truck owned by Miller Pipe Line of Hilliard. Branski was towing a three axel trailer loaded with a small tractor.

Branski was eastbound on Ohio 579 near Genoa Clay Center Road, when he drove off the left side of Ohio 579, striking the west end of a residence owned by Marie Schnabel, 81, of Curtice.

The entire truck entered the home, causing extensive damage to the west end of the residence.

Branski was transported from the scene by Allen Clay Joint Fire and EMS to St. Charles Hospital with minor injuries.

Schnabel, who was home at the time of the crash, was not injured.

The truck and trailer were removed from the home by Terry's Towing of Williston.

The truck suffered minor damage.
