Following a tough year, this win tops them all

There were plenty of winners at this year's Huron County Fair, but it would be hard to find any success story better than this one.

Nine-year-old Hunter Slone, son of Heather and Tim Slone, of Delphi, placed first in his class with his market lamb and is hoping to cash in at this morning's large livestock sale.

Slone, a student at South Central Elementary School, found out in December he has Ewing's sarcoma, a form of soft-tissue cancer. A feature story about the boy was published on the front page of Saturday's Reflector.

Find more of this story and other exclusive content in the Norwalk Reflector print edition or the E┬ĚPaper online newspaper.
