Heavy-duty work continues at Standardsburg

The Standardsburg Road bridge rehabilitation project continues to progress.
The project was in the planning stage for about six years.
Last week, crews from Mid-Ohio Structures and All Erection and Crane Rental were at the bridge, doing heavy-duty work to remove beams.
"Due to environmental concerns, the project was designed so the bridge would be dismantled," said Carl Essex, Huron County highway department spokesman. "Crews are lifting the 113-foot trusses off the bridge and onto the roadway."
