Stop sign added for safety
Aug 4, 2011 at 11:40 AM
(UPDATED with video) Local motorists should take note as the traffic pattern has changed at the Norwalk Korners Plaza.
A stop sign has been posted at the plaza exit onto Cline Street, making this intersection a three-way stop. This area is public roadway and will make this intersection controlled identical to the intersection at Cline-Aldi-Drug Mart, where it is a three-way stop, according to Josh Snyder, city public works director.
"We'll have flags on it to draw attention," Snyder said about the stop signs. "We're actually putting up two stop signs because it is such a wide approach. That will cover visibility better."
Snyder said officials have considered adding these stop signs for a while.
