Linwood bridge re-opened to traffic this afternoon.
The bridge had been closed for repairs since June 20.
“The joints on each end of the bridge needed to be re-done,” said Josh Snyder, Norwalk public works director.
“So crews jackhammered them out and re-attached them, with new metal joints concreted in place,” Snyder said. “Between the steel plate, they placed a rubber gasket.”
The project costs $245,959, with $200,000 of that being funded by the Ohio Public Works Commission.
“The only thing left to do is sealing off the walks and the walls,” Snyder said.
