A suspected shoplifting case in Norwalk resulted in the citation of two women and the arrest of the husband of one of the suspects on an unrelated matter.

A Westwind Drive business employee reported two women were in the store concealing items in a black bag Saturday.

After passing all points of sale without paying for the items, Emily Anderson, 29, of 31 Bouscay Ave., and Mary Wolfe, 51, of 316 Perkins Aly, Monroeville, were issued misdemeanor summonses for petty theft.

Police located Anderson's husband, Eugene, 27, of 31C Bouscay Ave., and arrested him on an outstanding Norwalk Municipal Court warrant for failure to pay fines and cost on an original charge of fishing without a license.

He was taken to the Huron County Jail, where he must serve 10 days.
