Fire destroyed a vehicle early Friday in Norwalk after the owner left the vehicle running in an attempt to eject a CD that wouldn't eject.
Firefighters were called to 103 Jefferson St. at 6:10 a.m. for the report of a motor vehicle fire.
"The vehicle was totally involved when firefighters arrived," a fire department report reads. "The owner stated she was trying to retrieve a CD out of the CD player and let the car running since she could not get the CD to eject."
The woman came back 10 minutes later and noticed sparks and smoke coming from the car. The make and model were not available in the report.
Fire personnel arrived and were able to extinguish the fire. However, the vehicle was a total loss. The report lists it was worth $2,500.
