Duncan leads fundraising for fireworks

Rob Duncan has taken the lead on the fireworks fund in Norwalk.
In the past, the city of Norwalk has donated $3,000 to the fund and Norwalk City Councilman Dwight Tkach had led the campaign to collect the rest.
Because of budget restraints, the city will not donate this year, while Tkach has stepped down from his unofficial position as fundraiser.
"We did get the approval from the VFW (to handle the money), so all contributions are tax deductible and any individual or business wishing to make a donation toward the fireworks can contact me at (419) 706-7821," said Duncan, a Republican who is running for Norwalk mayor against incumbent Sue Lesch.
