A 4-year-old girl was critically injured Sunday evening in a lawn mower accident.
Bath Township Fire and EMS and Allen County Sheriff's deputies responded just before 6 p.m. Sunday to the accident at 701 Vassar Ave. in the Lost Creek subdivision.
She suffered injuries to her legs after she was run over by a lawn mower, according to Sheriff's Office spokesperson.
The girl was taken to Lima Memorial Health System, an officer with Bath Township said. The Sheriff's Office expected her to be flown by medical helicopter Sunday night to another hospital.
While the girl's identity was not available late Sunday, the Vassar Avenue home is owned by Gerald D. and Tammy L. Kill, according to Allen County Auditor's Office records.
No other information about the girl's condition was known late Sunday.
