Want to buy an airport? Huron Count commissioners research possible sale
Feb 17, 2011 at 11:00 AM
Huron County Commissioner Larry Silcox took time Wednesday to reflect on Tuesday's board meeting, where he and fellow commissioners went at it with supporters of the county airport.
One of the items Silcox addressed Wednesday is whether the commissioners can actually sell the airport.
"Let's take a worst-case scenario," Silcox said. "Let's say we close it and it would end up in court. Then, the court would tell us if we could close it or not.

"I know the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) closed airports before with the proper justification," he said. "We just need to set how that can be done."
