COLLINS - The Western Reserve board of education met Wednesday with Ohio School Boards Association consultant Cheryl Ryan, who explained how the association could help the board choose a new superintendent.
Ryan said the process, which would probably take around three months, would start with developing a leadership profile and end with the selection. The cost to the district would be $6,400, plus the price of a brochure and other expenses.
Members will meet with representatives from the Telego Center at Ashland University at 7 p.m. April 15 to hear their proposal before making any decision.
Interim Superintendent Mark Gagyi told the board a referee is being selected in the dispute between the district and Doug Solet, and the next step will be to set a hearing date.
