Ready, set go not just for cars at the High School Nationals, but for anyone with a video camera or camera phone.

Summit Motorsports Park is hosting a new event along with the 20th annual ACDelco High School National Finals on May 10 a video contest to see who can come up with the best video of the event.

"We just wanted to see how creative these kids can become," said Nettie Damron, who works in race operations for the park. "We're trying new things and coming up with new ideas. We want to see how they view racing and this program through their eyes."

Rules for the contest are on the park's Web site Video@SummitMotorsportsPark.com. Videos must be submitted by June 13 and the raceway will submit all that meet their criteria to YouTube. The video that gets viewed the most between June 13 and July 11 will be declared the winner.

That winner will get eight tickets to Night Under Fire, VIP parking, free goodie bags and meal vouchers.

Video content can include racing, having fun in the stands, off-track activities such as the Jostens Extreme Games that include the Smokey Burnout Contest and the Car Cram or fun in the pits with friends. Prizes will be awarded on July 16.

The runner-up prize is a $150 shopping spree in the Quarter Mile Clothing Store at Summit Motorsports Park. Seven consolation prizes will be two tickets to a Moser Hot Norwalk Nights Event along with a Summit Motorsports Park T-shirt and hat.
