WILLARD - A father and son from Greenwich suffered severe injuries in a collision Monday at an intersection in New Haven Township, according to information from the Ohio state Highway Patrol.

Rickie Noble, 42, and his 11-year-old son, Damian Noble, were injured when Noble's pickup collided with a pickup driven by a Willard man at 3:15 p.m. at Boughtonville and Walnut roads, troopers at the patrol's Norwalk post said.

Neither of the Nobles was wearing a seat belt.

The Nobles were flown to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, where the father was in serious condition and the son in critical condition Monday night.

Jordan Holthouse, 76, of Willard, and his passenger, Gregory Spears, 27, of Shelby, were taken to Willard Mercy Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, troopers said. Both were wearing seat belts.

According to the report, Holthouse was westbound on Boughtonville and failed to yield at a stop sign at Walnut. He began to turn left into the path of Noble, who was southbound on Walnut.

No charges were immediately filed, but the state patrol's investigation continues.
