n Heidi L. Combs, 43, of 155 Crestwood Drive, Willard, was charged with failure to control after she went off the right side of Ohio 99 and hit a ditch Jan. 23. Her car overturned onto its top in a field. Willard firefighters transported the driver to Mercy Hospital of Willard with serious injuries. Combs also was charged with driving under the influence and speeding.
n Walter D. Wilcoxen, 48, of 139 N. Pleasant St., Apt. 1B, was charged with failure to control and driving under the influence Saturday after he went off the north side of Washington Road and hit a field.
n Tracey L. Coats, 42, of Shelby, was charged with failure to control Saturday after she failed to negotiate a left-hand Ohio 61 curve, went off the left side and hit a guardrail.
n Andrew W. Plyant, 17, of 4813 Ohio 99, Monroeville, was charged with failure to control Saturday after he went off the right side of Ohio 99 and hit a ditch and guide wire for a utility pole.
n Brett A. Kromer, 19, of Sandusky, was charged with the prohibition against driving upon the left side of the road Sunday in the Ohio 4 collision with the vehicle driven by Kerri J. Pullins, 44, of Fremont. Pullins attempted to turn left from Ohio 4 into a private driveway when Kromer attempted to inappropriately pass her within 100 feet of the Beckstein Road intersection. After the collision between Pullins’ car and Kromer’s pickup truck, Pullins stopped in the driveway while Kromer went off the left side of Ohio 4 into a ditch and hit a culvert.
n No citation was issued Sunday after Inysha F. Kuczma, 18, of 10 Westwood Drive, Lot 10, New London, swerved to avoid hitting a deer on Ohio 60. She lost control and hit a ditch and fence.
n Fred J. Weese, 63, of 305 Peru Center Road, Monroeville, was charged with failure to control Monday after he swerved to miss a deer on Bauman Road, went off the left side and hit a ditch.
n Extinguished a fire in the fiber line oven at 2:34 p.m. Tuesday at 405 Industrial Parkway. Returned to station at 3:10.
n Responded to a second fire in the exhaust blower of the fiber line oven at 4:18 p.m. Tuesday at 405 Industrial Parkway. The fan sucked some hot embers from the previous fire into the blower ductwork and the embers smoldered in the fiber dust until the fan was restarted, causing a chimney fire. Plant personnel extinguished the fire with a hose line and dry powder fire extinguishers. Returned to station at 4:32.
n Assisted North Central EMS with a patient at 9:11 p.m. Tuesday at 183 Milan Ave. Returned to station at 9:15.
n Ventilated 18A White Tail Way at 12:34 a.m. today after a resident mixed bleach with toilet bowl cleaner in a clogged toilet, causing a chlorine gas odor. Returned to station at 1.
n Extinguished a fire in the wood pile underneath a small shed/playhouse at 1:38 a.m. today at 13 Maple St. Firefighters contacted the Norwalk Police Department because they suspect the fire, which remains under investigation, wasn’t accidental because there were no electrical or heating systems or gas near the structure. Returned to station at 2:26.
n Replaced two batteries in a smoke detector and determined a carbon monoxide alarm activation was the result of a faulty detector at 5:18 a.m. today at 220 E. Main St. Returned to station at 5:45.
n David T. Cory, 63, of 41 1/2 Fruen St., was charged with a lane violation Friday in the West Main Street collision with the vehicle driven by Kenneth R. Carroll, 53, of 155 Sinclair St., Bellevue.
n Jaime L. Goodsite, 25, whose address was unavailable, was arrested on an Ontario Mayor’s Court warrant Tuesday and charged with petty theft in connection with a 2005 case. She was released after her family posted $280 bond.
n An East Main Street resident reported the wind caught the door of her vehicle and damaged the right tail light assembly of the vehicle next to hers Tuesday.
n Patrick R. Saunders II, 31, whose address was unavailable, was arrested on three undisclosed warrants Tuesday and released after posting bond.

n Arrested two juvenile suspects and charged them with underage consumption in connection with an East Main Street incident today.
n Dustin Myers, 18, of 15 Edwards Road, came the police station today several hours after fleeing from an East League Street traffic stop and hitting an East Main Street driveway post as he turned onto Garden Street. He was charged with underage consumption, a hit-skip violation, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, fleeing and eluding as well as driving with a suspended license. Myers currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.
