No citation was issued Feb. 3 in the Ohio 99 collision between the vehicles driven by Fredrick Hogle, 41, of 118 Fourth St., Willard, and Curtis M. Green, 29, of Shelby. Green's tractor-trailer hit the rear of Hogle's bicycle, who was ejected and landed on the side of the road. Willard EMS transported Hogle, who wasn't wearing a helmet, to Mercy Hospital of Willard, with minor injuries. He is no longer at Mercy.

Samantha E. Fey, 21, of 305 Keefer St., Willard, was charged with failure to control Tuesday after she went off the left side of Boughtonville Road near Greenwich-Milan Townline Road and hit a sign post and guide wire.

Anthony T. Kelley, 35, of Santee, S.C., was charged with driving an unsafe vehicle Thursday after part of his drive line broke off the tractor-trailer and entered U.S. 250, which Gayle L. Halan, 47, of 100 New London Ave., New London, hit while heading south behind the truck.

Calvin Johnson, 53, of Lorain, was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance Friday after he hit the rear of the stopped tractor-trailer driven by Cardell D. Scott, 27, of Cleveland, on U.S. 20. Scott and his passenger, Charles Bradley Jr., 27, of Cleveland, reported minor injuries, but weren't transported.

Donna A. Pittenger, 51, of 2 Par Court, was charged with failure to control Friday after she failed to negotiate an Ohio 60 curve. She crossed the center line, rotated 180 degrees, went off the left side and hit a ditch.

Scott N. Lilli, 37, of 125 1/2 Belle Ave., Bellevue, was charged with failure to control Friday after he slid off the left side of U.S. 20. He went down an embankment, where the sport utility vehicle rolled over twice and stopped on its left side. Lilli wasn't injured.


Responded to a faulty smoke detector that activated at 9:45 a.m. Friday at 175 Shady Lane Drive. Returned to station at 10:15.

Covered the city of Bellevue while its department responded to a structure fire at a house under construction at 3:25 p.m. Friday. The Huron River Joint Fire District also was dispatched. Returned to station at 5:45.
