n Philip A. Barone, 23, of Sandusky, was charged with failure to control Sunday after he went off the right side of U.S. 20 and hit a pole.

n Anna M. Babcock, 23, of 26 Spring St., No. 16, was charged with failure to control Sunday after she went off the right side of Lovers Lane Road and hit a ditch.

n Pamela B. Cook, 48, of 17 Mills Ave., Plymouth, hit a deer Sunday on Ohio 99.


n Assisted North Central EMS with a patient at 9:55 a.m. Monday at 110 Concord Court. Returned to station at 10:37.

n Responded to a transmission fluid spill at 4 p.m. Monday at the intersection of West Main and North West streets. No cleanup was necessary or possible because the spill was minor and spread over a large area. Returned to station at 4:15.

n Assisted North Central EMS with lifting a patient at 6:37 p.m. Monday at 408 Old State Road. Returned to station at 6:45.


n Responded to a property damage complaint Monday on West Chestnut Street. Once inside the apartment, police found and seized a small amount of suspected marijuana seen in plain view on top of the oven.

n An area resident reported seeing three children, ages 1, 7 and 8, in an unattended vehicle parked in a Westwind Drive business parking lot Monday.

n An East Monroe Street business employee reported finding a partial muddy shoe print on the outside of the bottom pane of the rear overhead door Monday.

n An area resident reported finding a 27-year-old deceased male Monday on Concord Court. No foul play is suspected, but the body will be sent to the Lucas County Coroner’s office later for an autopsy.

n Michael J. Lawrence, 30, of Milwaukee, Wis., was arrested on two warrants Monday and charged with failure to pay fines and costs on the charges of speeding and driving with a suspended license. He currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

n Michelle L. Miller, 33, of 2601 Fitchville River Road, Wakeman, was charged with failure maintain assured clear distance Monday after she hit the rear of the stopped vehicle driven by Rubin H. Johnson, 77, of Sandusky, at the intersection of North U.S. 250 and East League Street.

n The following people were charged with underage consumption in connection with a West Chestnut Street disturbance Monday: Peter J. Plate, 18, of 13002 Wikel Road, Milan; Joshua N. Irby, 19, of 7717 Smokey Road, Berlin Heights; Nikolas L. McCleese, 20, of Sandusky; Justin M. Vanwinkle, 18, of 21 Memorial Drive, Berlin Heights; Brittany M. Green, 19, of 4320 River Road; Anthony M. Dellinger, 18, of 12904 Old Mudbrook Road, Milan; and Zachary N. Holtz, 19, of 4641 Plank Road. No further information was available about the incident.


n An area motorist reported sliding on the ice on Lais Road, going off the north side and hitting a sign Sunday.

n Dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call about two intoxicated subjects inside a Neal Zick Road, Willard, mobile home Monday.

n The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office reported having Steven S. Newmeyer, 47, of 514 Willow St., Plymouth, in custody on a Huron County Common Pleas warrant Monday. He was charged with two counts of trafficking in heroin. Newmeyer currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

n A U.S. 20, Monroeville, business employee reported Monday a silver 2007 Ford Taurus SE has been missing from the parking lot for 49 days.

n Responded to a disabled vehicle in a Court Road ditch Monday.

n A South Main Street, North Fairfield, resident reported vehicle vandalism Monday. A resident at the same address later reported a possible burglary.

n A Laylin Road resident reported a possible fraud Monday.

n A South Butler Road, New London, resident reported someone took the license plate off a vehicle Monday. About two minutes later, a complainant there reported a trespassing incident.

n A Schaffer Road resident reported seeing “lights in the sky” Monday.
