Malcolm hit the rear of the stopped vehicle driven by Heidi M. Gilbert, 30, of 11A Norwood Ave., which pushed her car into the rear of the 200 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Melanie A. Davidson, 35, of 82 Old State Road. Gilbert wasn’t transported for minor injuries.

n Michael Miller, 38, of 3015 S. Ohio 61, was arrested on 13 warrants Monday. Twelve of the warrants were in connection with failing to pay fines and costs and the remaining one was an impersonating a police officer charge. He was released because the warrants weren’t “bondable.”
n The Sandusky Police Department reported having Demetrius Taylor, 33, of Sandusky, in custody on two local warrants Monday. He was charged with failure to pay fines and costs. When taken to a jail, a supervisor searched Taylor and found a small bag with coins and a small amount of marijuana in his right front pants pocket. He remains in custody.
n An area motorist reported people were walking down U.S. 224, Greenwich, Sunday.
n Transferred a 9-1-1 call to North Central EMS from Ohio 60, Wakeman, about a male patient not breathing Sunday.
n The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reported a house fire Sunday on North Greenfield Road, Willard. The Willard Fire Department later requested assistance from other departments.
n An East U.S. 20, Wakeman, resident reported someone was shining a laser light in her daughter’s bedroom Monday.
n A Lakeshore Drive, Willard, resident reported her juvenile daughter was being unruly Monday.

n Michelle Gordon, 38, of Shiloh, was arrested on a failure to appear/probation violation warrant Monday and released.
n Justin T. Shreve, 18, of 1611 Chenango Road, Wakeman, was arrested in connection with a fraud complaint Monday. He currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.
n A Williams Street resident reported Friday paying a U.S. 250, Norwalk, man $1,700 to do remodeling work at a village triplex. The complainant accused the worker of stealing copper and dry wall and returning material to home improvement stores and receiving store credit. The case remains under investigation.
n A Fulton Street resident requested an officer check her sister’s North Street apartment Saturday, where the complainant found the front door standing open. An officer and a sheriff’s deputy checked the home and determined the dead bolt lock had been pried open and the door jam was split. The resident didn’t see anything out of place, but said her apartment had been secured when she left earlier in the day. The incident remains under investigation.

The New London Police Department blotter covering Jan. 1 through 6 had the following highlights:
n Checked “zone 2” in response to someone hearing gunshots.
n Provided an escort for Eastman’s Funeral Home.
n Dispatchers received 9-1-1 hang-up calls from Westwood Drive, where police determined juveniles made prank calls.
n Stood by while tenants were served an eviction notice at an undisclosed location.
n A local resident reported his family was threatened. Police referred the matter to the Huron County Sheriff’s Office because the incident happened outside the village limits.
n Patricia A. Finkel, 48, of 158 High St., New London, was arrested on a warrant and charged with failure to report to jail. The next day, she was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after police found a marijuana pipe in a cruiser. Finkel was released Jan. 8 after serving a three-day sentence at the Huron County Jail.
n Escorted an unruly fan off the school grounds.
n A West Main Street resident reported a domestic dispute.
n A North Main Street business employee reported the driver of white car left without paying for about $31 worth of gasoline.
n Responded to a South Railroad Street business, where two juveniles broke a window. Police contacted the owner and the parents agreed to pay for the damage.
