Honda North American Suppliers Teambuild at Sawmill Creek
HURON - Nearly 350 associates from 69 Honda parts suppliers from seven states, Mexico and Canada, have converged on Sawmill Creek Resort in Huron April 14 to 16 to showcase their accomplishments in improving safety, environmental, quality, delivery, and efficiency at their respective production facilities.
These delegates are part of the central regional Honda Circle Assistance Network, a voluntary organization of Honda parts suppliers who meet to grow and strengthen associate involvement activities to promote continuous improvement efforts. Honda hosts these supplier improvement conferences each spring and fall and selected to return to Sawmill Creek for the sixth consecutive year from among several potential sites in the Midwest.
Honda does not change the suppler associates to attend the conference, but instead asks each participant to bring a donation to a local partner charity. In Ohio, Honda supports the "Adventures For Wish Kids" charity which provides "Adventures" (magical memories) for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. Participating Honda suppliers brought enough gift cards, disposable cameras, games, dolls, crafts, DVDs, and MP3 players to fill the bed of a new Honda Ridgeline pickup truck, provided by Victory Honda.
