When bees attack

I can remember the precise moment when I experienced my first bee sting. Maybe it was a hornet or a wasp or a yellow jacket.
I don't know. What's what in the bee world seems to be open for debate. But it happened at the Fitchville Cemetery. I was probably around 10 years old and my Girl Scout Troop was given the arduous task of trimming around all 500,001 tombstones for the upcoming Memorial Day ceremony. Apparently this was before the invention of the Weed Wacker, because we had to do it by hand with blister-producing grass clippers.
