Rospert named student of month
The Berlin Heights Kiwanis have announced Zachary Rospert is the February Student of the Month at Edison High School.
Zachary has been chosen for his contributions to Edison High School and the Berlin Heights and Milan communities.
Zachary's activities: National Honor Society president; Student Council president; Edison Enlightening Program; Varsity E Club; Key Club; Math Club; Spanish Club; Edison Design Studio president; Students Against Destructive Decisions; member of Cross Country Team all four years (three-year varsity letter winner, three time state qualifier, First Team, Second Team and Honorable Mention All-SBC, Academic All-Ohio, Academic All-SBC, Most Improved Award, team captain, September 2006 Athlete of the Month); member of basketball team two years; 100-Hour Club member; member of track team two years (two year varsity letter winner); EHS Business Student of the Quarter; Imprints writer for Sandusky Register; volunteer for the American Red Cross blood mobile; Berlin-Milan Youth Sports League board member; umpire coordinator for summer baseball; volunteer youth basketball coach for two years; member of youth group, Usher and Server at St. Anthony's Church; and Milan Community Vacation Bible School helper.
Zachary is planning to attend the University of Akron or Bowling Green State University to obtain a master's degree in business administration. Zachary is the son of Randy and Carla Rospert of Milan.
Barnett recognized for academic work
The United States Achievement Academy has announced Brooke Barnett of Monroeville has been recognized for academic achievement as a U.S. National Honor Student award winner.
Barnett, who attends Monroeville Junior High School, will appear in the United States Achievement Academy's Official Yearbook which is published nationally.
Brooke is the daughter of Brian and Barb Barnett of Monroeville. The grandparents are Robert and Carole Perry of Monroeville and Riley and Janet Barnett of Norwalk.
