A Sandusky man faces a felony charge after being accused of assaulting two people early Sunday morning.

Daniel W. Jackson Jr., 28, currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail on attempted felonious assault, a third-degree felony. If convicted, he faces one to five years in prison and a maximum fine of $10,000.

Norwalk Assistant Law Director Stuart O'Hara said Jackson is accused of arguing with a woman and throwing her to the ground at 2:50 a.m. Sunday in an East Washington Street parking lot.

After a man asked Jackson why he assaulted the woman, the suspect reportedly punched the man and then kicked him in the head when the victim was on the ground, O'Hara said.
