Punt, Pass & Kick event Saturday

The annual NFL Pepsi Punt, Pass, Kick event is scheduled for Saturday at Whitney Field. Boys and girls ages 8 to 15 years are welcome to participate in this free event. Join us under the lights to test your catching, kicking and running abilities in this fun filled event. Top finishers in each age division, separate boys and girls (8/9, 10/11, 12/13, 14/15) will advance to the sectional event. Special thanks to Nobil's Sports and Trophies for sponsoring this year's event and the St. Paul football program for all their help. Only soft-soled shoes, no cleats. Registration and warm-up will begin at 6; the event will start at 7 p.m.

Volunteer coaches are needed for the third/fourth-grade volleyball league. Anyone interested should contact Stacie at (419) 663-6775 ext. 28. Registration is open to Norwalk city residents, Norwalk City School students, or Ernsthausen Community Center members. Late registration cost is $30 for all participants.

Art around the world

Let instructor Dawn Freeman be your guide as you travel the world exploring its many rich and colorful artistic traditions. In this session, participants will be discovering the countries of Italy, France, Germany, the United States. Each class will provide a cultural learning experience and an art project.

Children ages 6 to 10 years are welcome to register. Classes will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Mondays at the Ernsthausen Center meeting room. Cost is $32 for members, $40 for all others.

Interval cycling

This class is designed specifically for teens wanting to jump in on the latest trends of fitness. Indoor cycling can be enjoyed all year long, and is a great cardiovascular workout for all ages. Combine this with weight strengthening and other conditioning exercises to give a full body workout. Class will be held from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursdays, Oct. 4 to 25 and will include a portion of spinning, as well as strength and conditioning exercises. Participants ages 11 to 16 are welcome to register. Cost is $15 for members, $20 for non-members.

Minimum height requirement of 4-feet 11-inches to assure proper set-up and safety on the bike.
