Online courses the way to go in Ohio

The governor is engaged in a discussion with institutions of higher education across the state. The intent is to catalogue what each institution does or could offer that would be unique and function as a magnet.

Adjoining voices have stated that each institution must offer the "basics."

The discussion is being driven by costs and the economic direction of the state. Ironically, a system linkage organized by the state should begin with the basics.

Why not have one course in linear algebra, the best one, with the best instructor, online for Ohioans? The endless replication of basics in curricula across the state is as wasteful as we get.
