Norwalk offers many opportunities to exercise

Exercise comes in many forms.

You can bike, walk, swim, do aerobics, take a kickboxing class or shoot baskets.

The list is endless.

Whether you want to workout alone or in a group setting, Norwalk can provide you with a variety of options.

Here are a few suggestions of places to go.

FTMC exercise classes: Seniors Stay Strong classes are designed to tone and strengthen muscles. Classes are 8 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, Ernsthausen Recreation Center, 100 Republic St., Norwalk. In addition, Seniors Keep Moving classes target balance, endurance, strength and flexibility for seniors.

Classes are 9 a.m., Tuesdays, Ernsthausen Recreation Center, 100 Republic St., and 9 a.m. Thursdays, Carriage House-Garden Level, Fisher-Titus Parkway, enter at Shady Lane Drive.

Attend 12 sessions of Seniors Keep Moving and/or Seniors Stay Strong for $27.50, PrimeCare Advantage discount for $25. To sign up, join a free trial class.

Ernsthausen Community Complex: The Ernsthausen Community Complex, 100 Republic St., Norwalk, is the home to a great number of activities for the entire family.

Admission to the complex can be purchased on a daily, monthly, quarterly or annual basis.

Whether you want to swim, bike, walk, or take exercise classes, the center has a variety of options to meet your exercise needs.

Curves of Norwalk: Curves, 201 Milan Ave., Norwalk, is a fitness and weight loss facility dedicated to providing affordable, one-stop exercise and nutritional information for women.

North American Martial Arts Institute (NAMAI): NAMAI, 1 W. Main St., Norwalk, offers classes for all age groups and fitness levels including Tae Kwan Do, EZ defense, fitness kickboxing and the Ultimate Bodyshaping Course (UBC).

Ohio Health and Wellness: 269 W. Main St., offers fitness 24-hours a day, seven days per week. Key card membership is available in three month or yearly memberships.

The facility provides both cardiovascular equipment and weight equipment to meet your fitness goals.
