New London festival's success attributed to volunteers

NEW LONDON "Practically perfect weather" and many volunteers made this year's Firelands Labor Day Festival a resounding success, village officials said Monday night.

Gate admissions hit a new record this year, as about 10,235 people paid admission during the festival's full three days of operation Saturday through Monday.
