Strollometer, the world's first speedometer/odometer for strollers, and StrollerFit, the nationwide stroller exercise group, are sponsoring the 2007 Million Mile Moms Challenge.
From now until July 15, moms across America will attempt to collectively log a million miles of walking or jogging with a stroller. Participants are invited to download a mileage log from either the Strollometer or StrollerFit Web sites and input the distances that they stroll each day.
"There is no better role model than a fit, exercising mom when it comes to sending a message to our kids that fitness and health go hand in hand," said Adi Weber, president and co-founder of Strollometer.
The Strollometer is a mom-invented eight function wireless computer/speedometer designed to strap onto any baby stroller whether it's traditional, deluxe all-terrain or jogging. Functions include current, average and maximum speed (mph/kmh), trip and daily distance, trip and real clock times, and ambient temperature.
