Sixty students and friends of the old Clarksfield, Fitchville and Hartland schools met for lunch Friday at Berry's Restaurant in Norwalk to renew friendships and exchange memories of the past.
Wakeman resident Maxine Brown said alumni from Clarksfield got together two years ago, and it was so successful she and classmates Lois Gray and Paul Nestor decided to organize it again and add Fitchville and Hartland people.
Students from the three areas attended grades one to eight at their home school and then went on to New London for high school. Today, most children living in these communities attend either New London or Western Reserve their entire school career.
Brown said she was pleased with the turnout and hopes more get-togethers can be held in coming years.
