Four people were arrested Tuesday afternoon on allegations of heroin trafficking.
The Norwalk Police Department and Huron County Sheriff's Office conducted a joint operation, using two search warrants in Norwalk: one at 80 1/2 Benedict Ave. and the other at 237 W. Main St.
Eric Harp, 33, and Andrew Kessler, 25, both were arrested and charged with trafficking in heroin. Christy Thornsberry, 30, was charged with possession of heroin and trafficking in heroin.
Krista D. Sheller, 27, was charged with complicity to trafficking in heroin.
All four suspects currently are in custody at the Huron County Jail. Police did not release the specific addresses for any of the defendants.
Christy's wife, Michael "Dusty" Thornsberry, 30, is wanted for questioning in connection with trafficking in heroin, Norwalk Police Detective Sgt. Todd Temple reported. The officer expects to have a warrant issued for his arrest.
Four children, ages 6 to 10, were at the Benedict Avenue home during the arrests and were released to their grandmother, he said.
Temple wrote that "additional arrests are imminent" in the investigation that started about a month ago. METRICH, a regional drug task force, assisted in the arrests.
