COLLINS Students in the seventh to 12th grades at Western Reserve will soon have a greenhouse to aid in their studies, thanks to the almost $5,000 grant the school recently received from Fisher-Titus Medical Center.

Construction on the 16-foot by 11-foot state-of-the-art Juliana Gardener Greenhouse will begin this spring, and according to the grant application, materials for the structure will be added as needed.

Fisher-Titus awarded $49,942 to area schools in 2006, including New London, and has given out nearly a half million dollars in the 11 years the program has existed.
