Catfishing is a favorite sport among local anglers and each summer, dozens, maybe hundreds of them head for rivers and lakes seeking a stringer of prime eating.
Most are after channel cats or maybe farm pond bullheads, but did you know Ohio has some huge catfish that will test your gear to the fullest and send you home with arms like wet noodles? They call them flatheads or sometimes shovelheads, and while some fair-size ones live in Charles Mill Lake, southeastern Ohio is the place to seek these trophy fish.
